DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Arrival at the airport. After picking up the rental car, head to Perugia, an art and history city, located in a splendid position between the Tiber Valley and Lake Trasimeno. Upon arrival, go up to the Rocca, the heart of the historic center, enclosed by Etruscan and medieval walls.

Suggested itinerary: City tour: the Palazzo dei Priori, now home to the Town Hall and the National Gallery of Umbria, the Fontana Maggiore, a symbol of the city and a splendid example of sculpture, created by Nicola and Giovanni Pisano in 1280, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, dating back to the mid-14th century. Visit the Collegio del Cambio, the ancient seat of bankers and money changers, a true treasure chest. The Hall of the Audience houses a cycle of frescoes by Pietro Perugino, a masterpiece by the artist at the height of his career at the end of the 15th century. A stop is recommended at one of Perugia's historic pastry shops to taste one of the chocolate specialties, or a visit to the National Gallery of Umbria inside Palazzo dei Priori. In October: possibility to visit the Eurochocolate stands in Perugia. Accommodation at the hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 2: ASSISI

Breakfast at the hotel. On this day we suggest spending the day in Assisi.

Suggested itinerary: Reach Assisi, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because it "preserves a set of masterpieces of human creative genius". Every stone speaks of its most illustrious citizen, Saint Francis, Patron Saint of Italy. The visit, between art and spirituality, begins at the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, which houses the "Porziuncola", the place where Saint Francis died: long abandoned, it was restored by Francis himself upon his return to Assisi at the end of 1207. Continue toward the center where you will admire the Basilica of Saint Francis with the Saint's tomb and the magnificent frescoes by Giotto and his school. Along the narrow streets, reach the Church of Santa Chiara with the relics of the Saint and the wooden crucifix that, according to tradition, spoke to Saint Francis. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 3: SPELLO & SPOLETO

Suggested itinerary: Breakfast at the hotel. The day is dedicated to visiting some of the most beautiful towns in Umbria. First visit to Spello, an ancient medieval village at the foot of Mount Subasio, among the most beautiful in Italy. Visit the Baglioni Chapel inside the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, famous for a cycle of frescoes by Pinturicchio dating back to 1500 and for the ceramic floors of Deruta. Continue to Spoleto. Visit the city: the Roman Theater, Palazzo Mauri, the Church of Sant'Ansano and the Arch of Drusus. In the afternoon, reach the Marmore Falls, a natural spectacle of incredible charm, included by UNESCO among the World Heritage Sites. Praised for centuries for their beauty, they appear as a thundering column of water spread over three drops for more than 165 meters in height. Walk along one of the park trails. Return to the hotel in the evening, overnight stay.
DAY 4: GUBBIO

Suggested itinerary: Departure for Gubbio, one of the oldest towns in Umbria, on the slopes of Mount Ingino. Visit the historic center with Piazza Grande, a true panoramic terrace over the city, the Palazzo dei Consoli with its unmistakable crenellated profile, the Cathedral and the Renaissance-style Ducal Palace commissioned by Federico da Montefeltro. Possibility to go up Mount Ingino by funicular (optional and with supplement) to the Basilica of Sant'Ubaldo, protector of the city - Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 5: THE TOUR ENDS AFTER BREAKFAST

- Each day of rental is a 24-hour period; the vehicle must be returned on time or within the following 59 minutes.
- Pick-up and drop-off of the car at the airport will take place during the rental company’s opening hours (every day from 08:00 to 22:30); after these hours, the rental company will apply an extra charge. Please check before booking your flight.
- The car must be returned to the same airport; otherwise, there will be an additional cost to be agreed with the rental company.
- Norma Vacanze acts only as an intermediary between the customer and the rental company. In the event of disputes with the rental company or accidents, the rules set out in the contract signed at the airport between the customer and the rental company will apply, without any involvement of Norma Vacanze.
- Each customer may independently choose whether to follow the suggested itinerary or create one based on their own needs. However, it is essential to follow the schedule relating to the cities where overnight stays are planned.
- Cars are subject to availability and your category may not always be available. If category C is not available at the time of booking, a higher category will be offered with a supplement that will be communicated before confirming each booking.
- Hotel parking is not guaranteed, but can be found nearby.
- The rate includes the rental of a category C car for the duration of the stay with the "GOLD" insurance package; with a supplement, it is possible to book Platinum insurance.
- Drivers must have a credit card for check-in.
- Norma Vacanze reserves the right to modify the itinerary of the excursion if deemed appropriate or due to force majeure.
- Norma Vacanze is not responsible for accidents, delays, damage to or loss of luggage or personal belongings, nor for damage caused by third parties or other events such as floods, storms, landslides, earthquakes, political unrest, epidemics, terrorist attacks, strikes, etc.
The rate does not include:
- Tourist tax to be paid locally
- Lunches and dinners unless otherwise indicated
- Tips and personal extras
- Porterage service
- Fuel
- Highway tolls
- Parking fees
- Plane, ship, train, or bus tickets to reach the airport
- Admission tickets to monuments and archaeological parks
- Anything not expressly indicated under "the rate includes."

The rate does not include:
- Fuel
- Fines
- Re-notification fees
- Rental from another airport
- Child seat
- GPS navigator
- Fuel recovery service, a surcharge of €30.00 will be applied if the car is returned with more than 5 liters of missing fuel.
- A tolerance of 59 minutes is provided, after which a full day will be charged.
- At the time of booking, the car category is guaranteed, not the model.
Gold insurance includes:
- With "Gold", the deductible amount is not charged. The "Gold" package eliminates deductibles for damage and total theft and also allows the deductible to be eliminated for damage to vehicle parts not covered by the "Silver" package and includes coverage for glass and tires. Partial theft, attempted theft, roof damage, damage to the underside of the vehicle, interior damage, and damage caused by vandalism, riots, etc. are excluded.
Platinum insurance (on request):
- If the customer purchases the "Platinum" package, the amount of the deductibles for theft (including partial theft and attempted theft) and damage (including damage to the roof, underside of the vehicle, and interior) is eliminated, and the PAI services are included (which protect the driver in the event of death, permanent disability, and injury, with maximum coverage up to €100,000) and "24h Roadside Assistance Plus" (covers all towing costs in the event of an at-fault accident and for any other event occurring during the rental period).
