DAY 1: TAORMINA AREA

• Arrival at Catania Airport. Transfer on request to the Taormina area, hotel accommodation. Overnight in the Taormina area.

DAY 2: TAORMINA & CASTELMOLA

• After breakfast, the Vespa tour begins! Your charming scooter will be delivered to the hotel. Get on the Vespa and set off to discover Taormina, “the Pearl of the Mediterranean,” visiting it by passing through Corso Umberto, which represents the heart of the city where you can find splendid ancient buildings, including the 15th-century Palazzo Corvaja and the Greco-Roman theater, the second largest classical theater in Sicily. Over the centuries, the city has always been a very sought-after destination. From the Greco-Roman theater, you can admire the bay of Giardini Naxos, Mount Etna, and the Calabrian coast. Continue towards Castelmola, another splendid village that overlooks Taormina and the bay of Giardini Naxos. There you will explore the narrow streets, enjoying the breathtaking view of Mount Etna. Time to visit the picturesque “Bar Turrisi”, a “must” in Castelmola, where you can taste the famous “almond wine” accompanied by typical local biscuits. The tour will end with the sunset from the panoramic square above the town. Return to the hotel, overnight.

DAY 3: FORZA D'AGRO' & SAVOCA

• Breakfast at the hotel. Today you can choose to visit the villages made famous by the film The Godfather.
  
  Suggested itinerary: Departure for Forza D’Agrò, a charming village located on a hill overlooking Taormina and the Ionian Sea. Walking through the narrow streets of this small town, in addition to breathtaking views, you will be able to admire the Durazzesco arch and the Cathedral, the place chosen to set one of the most romantic scenes in The Godfather, Michael Corleone’s wedding. From the Panoramic Square, you can enjoy an extraordinary view of the coast. After visiting this small gem, continue to Savoca, which was also a location for the famous film directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The buildings and monuments that appear in the film are real, such as the famous Bar Vitelli, the same bar used for filming The Godfather. Continue to the hotel, overnight

DAY 4: ALCANTARA GORGES & FRANCAVILLA DI SICILIA

• After breakfast, you can choose to visit the Alcantara Gorges and Francavilla di Sicilia.
  
  Suggested itinerary: The Alcantara Gorges are a wonderful natural canyon of volcanic origin, where you can admire the majesty of the Alcantara River flowing between lava stone walls. The play of light and shadow on the steep walls of the gorges creates a world of illusions. The river water is always cool. To go down into the gorge, you can take the stairs or an elevator (cost about €9 not included). The small beach area is great for dipping your feet, sunbathing or, if you want to swim, there are areas where the water is a bit deeper and you can dive in. Recommended clothing: swimsuit, beach towels. Continue to Francavilla di Sicilia, an ancient village famous for its convent. We also recommend a stop in Linguaglossa before returning to the hotel. Return of the Vespa, overnight.

DAYS 5-6-7: OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS

• Breakfast at the hotel. You will have 3 days to relax or you can take advantage of them to do interesting excursions (optional). Overnight.
  

DAY 8: THE TOUR ENDS AFTER BREAKFAST

• Today your journey ends after breakfast. Check-out at 10:00. Transfer to Catania Airport. End of our services

IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT:

• The Vespa* must be returned by the customer with a full tank of fuel.
• Emergency/assistance number available 24 hours a day for our customers in case of problems with the Vespa, etc.
• In case of emergency, vehicle assistance will be guaranteed 24 hours a day. The customer will have an emergency number
• No daily mileage limit
• No mileage limit during the trip
• One Vespa is available per person/tour
• Insurance: civil liability for people and property. Coverage for damage to passenger and driver. In the event of liability in the accident, the damage to the VESPA is attributed to the driver
• No refund of any deposits or payments received if customers do not meet the requirements to drive in Italy at the time of rental or tour.
• Pick-up of the Vespa* on the day of delivery with explanation. The Vespas* are delivered to the hotel the morning after arrival at a time to be determined (presumably from 09:00 to 09:30) with instructions on the vehicle and signature of the rental contract. Return will take place in the afternoon of the last day, presumably from 18:00 to 19:00
• Emergency/assistance number available 24 hours a day for our customers in case of problems with the Vespa, etc. In case of emergency, vehicle assistance will be guaranteed 24 hours a day. The customer will have an emergency number

* The supply of Vespas is limited; if a Vespa is unavailable, a scooter with equivalent performance will be provided.

VESPA rental conditions

• The renter must be at least 21 years old and have at least two years of driving experience and possess a valid identity document.

• The renter must have a credit card.
• The vehicle may only be driven by the persons named in the contract.
• Any violation of civil, criminal, or road traffic laws will be the responsibility of the signatory of the rental agreement.
• The vehicle must be returned on the scheduled day; otherwise, an additional day of rental will be charged.
• Helmet use (included in the price) is mandatory.
• The renter must check the general condition of the vehicle before pickup and must return it in the same good condition.
• The vehicle must be returned to the place agreed upon at the time of rental.
• Third-party liability insurance for damages and coverage for driver damages
• Unless the national driving license was issued by an EU/EFTA member state, it must be accompanied by an international driving permit, to be obtained before departure, or by a sworn translation into Italian

• Cancellations up to 15 days before departure with a full refund.
• Cancellations from 14 to 8 days before departure, 30% penalty.
• Cancellations from 7 to 4 days before departure, 50% penalty.
• In case of cancellation within 3 days before departure, 100% penalty.
• No refund is provided for no-show or voluntary interruption of a trip already started.
