• Breakfast at the hotel. Reach the airport and depart for Catania; arrival and reach the Taormina area - free afternoon and overnight stay.

FRIDAY: ETNA & TAORMINA

• Breakfast at the hotel. Today you are free to relax and explore the surroundings, go for a swim or visit Etna and Taormina.

• Suggested itinerary: Departure for Etna, the highest peak in Sicily and the most active volcano in Europe. The territory surrounding the volcano constitutes the "Etna Park," one of the largest protected areas in Italy: You will be amazed by the great variety of vegetation and landscapes encountered along the route before reaching the "Silvestri Craters" (about 1,900 meters). From here you will have the possibility to continue the excursion by jeep and cable car (for a fee). Reach Taormina. Walking and discovering the incredible city of Taormina, you will see beautiful ancient buildings, including the 15th-century Corvaja Palace and an ancient Greco-Roman theater, the second largest classical theater in Sicily. Discover the medieval area of the city with its narrow streets and old shops. Return to the hotel. Overnight in a hotel in Taormina.

SATURDAY: CATANIA & SYRACUSE

• Breakfast at the hotel. Today you are free to relax and explore the surroundings, go for a swim or visit Catania and Syracuse.

• Suggested itinerary: Departure for Catania for a walking tour through the streets of Catania’s historic center, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its baroque palaces and incredible monuments. Visit the open-air fish market, famous for its particular colors. Continue towards Syracuse, one of the most interesting archaeological sites on the island with its Archaeological Park, the Roman Amphitheater, the Greek Theater, the Ear of Dionysius, the Cordari Cave, the Island of Ortigia, the oldest part of the city with its splendid cathedral. Return to the hotel. Overnight in the Taormina area.
