DAY 1: TAORMINA AREA

• Arrival at Catania Airport. After picking up the rental car, departure for Acireale/Mascali. Free time to explore the city independently. Overnight stay in hotel

DAY 2: ETNA & TAORMINA

• Breakfast at the hotel. Today you are free to relax and explore the surroundings or take a swim at the beach or visit Etna and Taormina

  Suggested itinerary: Reach Mount Etna, the highest peak in Sicily and the most active volcano in Europe. The area surrounding the volcano forms the "Etna Park", one of the largest protected areas in Italy: you will be amazed by the great variety of vegetation and landscapes you will encounter along the way before arriving at the "Silvestri Craters" (about 1,900 m). From here you will have the option to continue the excursion by jeep and cable car. Continue to Taormina. As you walk and discover the surprising city of Taormina, you will see splendid ancient buildings, including the 15th-century Palazzo Corvaja and an ancient Greco-Roman theater, the second largest classical theater in Sicily. Discover the medieval area of the city with its narrow streets and old shops. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel

DAY 3: CATANIA & SYRACUSE

• Breakfast at the hotel. Today you are free to relax and explore the surroundings or take a swim at the beach or visit Catania and Syracuse.

  Suggested itinerary: Go to Catania for a walk through the streets of the historic center of Catania, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its Baroque palaces and incredible monuments. Visit the open-air fish market, famous for its distinctive colors. Then continue to Syracuse, one of the island's most interesting archaeological sites with its Archaeological Park, the Roman Amphitheater, the Greek Theater, the Ear of Dionysius, the Cordari Cave, the Island of Ortigia, the oldest part of the city with its splendid cathedral. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 4: THE TOUR ENDS AFTER BREAKFAST

• Today your trip ends after breakfast. Check-out at 10:00. Drive to Catania Airport and return the car at the rental desk.

Each rental day consists of a 24-hour period; the vehicle must be returned on time or within 59 minutes after; pick-up and drop-off of the car at the airport will take place during the rental company's opening hours; after those hours, the rental company will charge an extra fee. The Gold insurance includes

• With Gold, the deductible amount will not be charged. The "Gold" package eliminates deductibles for damage and total theft and also allows the deductible to be waived for damage to vehicle parts not covered by the "Silver" package and includes coverage for glass and tires. Partial theft, attempted theft, roof damage, damage to the underside of the vehicle, interior damage, and damage caused by vandalism, riots, etc. are excluded.

Platinum insurance (upon request)

• If the customer purchases a "Platinum" package, the deductible amounts for theft (including partial theft and attempted theft) and damage (including damage to the roof, underside of the vehicle, and interiors) will be eliminated, and PAI services are included (which cover the driver in case of death, permanent disability, and accidents, with maximum coverage up to €100,000) and "Road Assistance Plus" 24-hour roadside assistance (covers all towing costs in the event of an at-fault accident and for any other event occurring during the rental).

• Cancellations up to 15 days before departure with full refund.
• Cancellations from 14 to 8 days before departure, 30% penalty.
• Cancellations from 7 to 4 days before departure, 50% penalty.
• In case of cancellation within 3 days before departure, 100% penalty.
