DAY 1: ARRIVAL

• Arrival at Palermo airport. After picking up the rental car, head to Palermo. No activities are planned for this day. Free time to explore the city on your own. Overnight stay in the Palermo area.

DAY 2: PALERMO, MONREALE & MONDELLO (45 KM)

• Breakfast at the hotel. Today you are free to relax and explore the city on your own.

• Suggested itinerary. Today you will visit Palermo: start with the Teatro Massimo, the third largest opera house in Europe. Then delve into the popular market "Il Capo," which resembles an African souk; at the end of the market visit, we recommend tasting the typical Sicilian "Arancina" in a bar, a local street food specialty. Continue the visit in the old part of the city with the Cathedral, the Royal Palace, and the Palatine Chapel. Proceed to Monreale, famous for its Cathedral with polychrome mosaics on a golden background depicting scenes from the Old and New Testament. Conclude the visit with the cloister. In the afternoon, enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, just a short distance from the center of Palermo. Mondello beach is reachable in 30 minutes from the city center. Mondello was (and still is) a fishing village, which at the beginning of the 20th century was chosen by wealthy Palermo families as their summer holiday destination. For this reason, you can admire numerous villas built in Art Nouveau style and another interesting Art Nouveau building, the "Stabilimento Balneare," built on stilts over the water, which also hosts one of the best restaurants in Palermo. Mondello beach has a semicircular shape, between two headlands (Monte Pellegrino and Capo Gallo), and the color of the sea will amaze you. Depending on the weather and sea conditions, you can also swim (from May to the end of October). A walk along the palm-lined seafront promenade is a "must." In the main square, you will have the opportunity to taste Sicilian street food specialties or an ice cream. Return to Palermo city center. Overnight stay.

DAY 3: CEFALU' & CASTELBUONO (185 KM)

• Breakfast at the hotel. Today you can swim at the beautiful sandy beach of Cefalù and visit Castelbuono.

• Suggested itinerary: Reach Cefalù where you can start the day visiting the Piazza del Duomo which extends under the Cathedral with its splendid mosaics and is surrounded by a series of beautiful palaces, stroll along Corso Ruggero, the main street lined with a wide range of boutiques and built on the ancient Roman decumanus road, and then visit the ancient washhouse. You can then drive up the hills to Castelbuono, a charming town founded in the 14th century around the castle built by the Ventimiglia family, a massive square-plan construction with square towers, which has undergone many modifications over the years. Here is also the heart of the Madonie Regional Park. We suggest settling in a local restaurant to taste special meats and mushrooms. Return to Palermo. Overnight stay in Palermo.

DAY 4: MARSALA, ERICE & PANTELLERIA (285 KM)

• Breakfast at the hotel. Today you can swim and enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches of San Vito lo Capo and Macari, or visit Marsala and Erice before flying to Pantelleria.

• Suggested itinerary: Continue to Marsala, famous for its salt pans and wine production. Stop at the Stagnone Reserve, a magical place with a suggestive natural landscape of rare beauty due to its white salt pans with windmills. Continue driving to Erice, the medieval town on top of Monte San Giuliano. Here you can admire the Venus Castle (exterior) and the Cathedral. Meanwhile, we suggest stopping at a pastry shop to taste the typical almond paste of Erice. Reach Palermo airport, return the car, and fly to Pantelleria at 17:05; arrive in Pantelleria after 50 minutes - Arrival at the airport. After picking up the rental car, reach the hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 5: PANTELLERIA WELLNESS & NATURE (OPTIONAL)

• Breakfast at the hotel - Relax at the hotel or enjoy thermal wellness, surrounded by Mediterranean scrub.

• Optional excursion: PANTELLERIA WELLNESS & NATURE. The proposed itinerary with this excursion leads the visitor to discover the various thermal phenomena of the island through a true open-air natural thermal spa. Treatments with thermal mud and relaxing baths in warm waters are planned.

• To avoid queues at museums or archaeological parks, it is necessary to book in advance: Advance booking of entrance tickets is mandatory on the first day of the tour.
• Tickets are non-refundable.

Platinum insurance includes:

• With Platinum insurance, the deductible amount is not charged. The "Platinum" package eliminates the deductibles for all damages, partial, attempted, and total theft, including glass, tires, roof damage, and damage to the underside of the vehicle. Interior damages and those caused by vandalism, riots, etc. are excluded.

• Cancellations up to 15 days before departure with full refund.
• Cancellations from 14 to 8 days before departure, 30% penalty.
• Cancellations from 7 to 4 days before departure, 50% penalty.
• In case of cancellation within 3 days before departure, 100% penalty.
• No refund is provided for no-shows or voluntary interruption of a trip already started.
