Itinerary

Day 1: ROME

  • Arrive at Rome Airport. After picking up the rental car drive to Rome. Free time to discover the city on your own. Overnight in Rome.

Day 2: ROME

  • Breakfast in hotel. This day you are free to relax and explore the city on your own. We suggest you to visit the highlights of the monuments symbol of Rome and it is a fascinating view.
  • Suggested itinerary: You can visit the Piramide, the Mouth of Truth, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla and the Coliseum. You can then admire Santa Maria Maggiore, Republic Square, Piazza Venezia, the Quirinale. Walk through the historical center of the city and visit Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Via Condotti, Via del Corso, Piazza del Popolo and Villa Borghese. Continue your visit through Lungotevere, admire Palazzo di Giustizia and Castel Sant'Angelo. Overnight in Rome.

Day 3: TIVOLI & EATALY

  • Breakfast in the hotel and i suggest you to drive to Tivoli.
  • Suggested itinerary: You will visit the Villa d`Este (UNESCO World Heritage site) for 2 hours. I suggested you to will return to Rome. Here you will at about 12:30 pm at EATALY, the world's largest area, devoted exclusively to the art of Italian gourmet food: Eataly Rome Ostiense offers a total of 17.000 square meters exhibition, where the beauty of food, art, and music are celebrated. High-quality gourmet-gastronomic products are sold, tasted and studied. Overnight in Rome.

Day 4: VATICAN MUSEUM

  • Breakfast in the hotel. This day you are free to relax and explore the city on your own, in the afternoon you have to drive to Sorrento area.
  • Suggested itinerary: Before departing to Sorrento, we suggest you to visit the Vatican Museum, an enormous complex of galleries holding some of Italy’s most important art, from paintings and sculptures to tapestries and classical antiquities. Adjoining St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums' miles of corridors connect buildings and courtyards housing the Pinacoteca, Egyptian Museum, Gallery of Tapestries, Pius-Clementine Museum, and Gallery of Maps. But the crown jewels are the Sistine Chapel, famous for Michelangelo's ceiling and The Last Judgment, and the 16th-century frescoes in the Raphael Rooms. Drive to Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento area.

Day 5: POSITANO & AMALFI

  • Breakfast in the hotel. This day you are free to relax and explore the city on your own or you can opt to spend you day in the Amalfi coast, one of the most spectacular coastlines of Europe. Overnight in Sorrento area.
  • Suggested itinerary: Visit the famous towns of Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello and enjoy the Amalfi Coast drive which is arguably the world's most beautiful and thrilling sightseeing road.
    Positano is a true paradise, developed vertically within a tangled overlay of streets, alleys and shops that expose the colorful Positano fashions well-known all around the world. In the town center is the Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta that shows up with its large dome, tiled in majolica and sheltering some precious works like polychrome marble altars.
    It’s nice to get lost in Positano… To fully embrace the beauty of the town it’s probably better to walk without a precise destination; You will be able to enjoy the streets, the little shops, the restaurants, the monuments, the churches, the beaches.
    Amalfi, a picturesque interlacing of alleys and stairways overlooks the sea with all its extraordinary colors reflecting the enchanting landscape of Amalfi, the town whose name blesses the entire coast. Dominated by the majestic Cathedral dedicated to Sant'Andrea (St. Andrew), Amalfi proffers innumerable testimonies of its glorious past as a Maritime Republic.
    Ravello, another pearl of the coast, an elegant and refined village, dipped in green and characterized by luxurious villas. Ravello is famous all around the world for its Festival, in the garden of Villa Rufolo, where an evocative setting and the emotion of listening to great music create an experience of extraordinary intensity. The heart of Ravello is represented by Piazza Vescovado, framed by the architecture of Palazzo Rufolo and the Cathedral with its magnificent portal (the first ever made with this innovative mould technique) and 10-feet-high bell tower.

Day 6: CAPRI

  • Breakfast in the hotel. This day you are free to relax and explore the city on your own or you can opt to spend your day in Capri.
  • Suggested itinerary: Take in the breeze of the Mediterranean as you cruise over to the island in a boat. No holiday here in Sorrento would be complete without a trip to the evocative Island of Capri. Sail across the Bay of Naples for the start of an unforgettable day. Departure to Capri, sailing along the Sorrento Coast. Arrival to Capri and tour of the island by boat with the possibility to admire the Marvellous Grotto, the White Grotto, the Green Grotto; along the way you will admire the Natural Arch, the Villa Curzio Malaparte, the Faraglioni rocks and the Lighthouse of Punta Carena. Disembark at Marina Grande in Capri with 5/6 hours free time to visit the island. Comfortable shoes, cameras. Overnight in Sorrento Area.

Day 7: POMPEII & CASERTA

  • Breakfast in the hotel. This day you have to drive to Rome. We suggest you to visit Pompeii or/and Caserta.
  • Suggested itinerary: Start your day driving to Pompeii. Pompeii has been submerged by a torrent of lava and mud during the explosion of the Volcano Vesuvius and remained hidden till the beginning of the excavations in the XVIII century... many treasures are still awaiting to be unerthed. Walk along the ancient “cardini” and “decumani” and explore the remainings of the prosperous Romans. You will admire the baths, streets, bakeries, forums that were once integral parts of daily life and marvel at the magnificently preserved frescoes that adorn the fine Villas. Bring back to light the custom and traditions of the Ancient Romans. In the afternoon drive to Caserta to visit The Royal Palace of Caserta, commissioned in the 18th century by Charles of Bourbon, King of Naples and Sicily and known as the largest royal residence in the world. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Drive to Rome. Overnight in Rome.

Day 8: DEPARTURE

  • Breakfast in the hotel. Check out at 10:00 (*). Drive to the airport, release of the car and end of our services. Grazie e arrivederci!

The name of the hotel will be sent to you 21 days before the arrival.

Important information
  • Norma Vacanze only deals with the intermediation between the customer and the car rental company. In the event of disputes with the rental company or accidents, the rules established in the contract signed at the airport between the customer and the rental company shall apply, without any involvement of Norma Vacanze.
  • Each customer will be able to choose independently whether to follow the suggested itinerary or, instead, to create one according to its needs. However, it is essential to follow the program concerning the cities where to overnight
  • The cars are subjected to availability and your category may not be available on all periods. In case the C category will not be available at the time of your booking, a superior category will be offered with a supplement that will be communicated before the confirmation of each reservation.
  • Parking in hotel is not guaranteed, it will be possible in the surrounding area
  • The rate includes Category C car rental for the duration of your stay with the "PLATINUM" insurance package.
  • The drivers must have the credit card for the check in.
  • Norma Vacanze is entitled to change the itinerary of the excursion if it considers it appropriate or due to force majeure.

  • The pick-up and drop-off of the car at the airport will be during the opening hours of the company Noleggiare (everyday from 08:00 to 22:30); after these hours the rental company will charge an extra fee. Please inquire before booking your flight

The rate includes:

  • Rental to leave in another airport

  • Fuel recovery service, an extra charge of €30,00 will be applied if the car is returned with more than 5 litres of fuel missing
  • There is a tolerance of 59 minutes, after which a full day will be charged
  • At the time of booking, the car group is guaranteed, not the model

Insurance Platinum includes

  • With Platinum insurance, the amount of the deductible will not be charged. The "Platinum" package clears the deductibles provided for all damages, partial, attempted and total theft, including windows, tyres, damage to the roof, damage to the lower part of the vehicle. Damage to the interior and damage caused by vandalism, riots, etc. are excluded.
Cancellation policy
  • Cancellations up to 120 days before departure with full refund.
  • Cancellations from 119 to 15 days before departure, penalty of € 50 per person
  • Cancellations from 14 to 8 days before departure, penalty of 30%
  • Cancellations from 7 to 4 days before departure, penalty of 50%
  • In case of cancellation within 3 days before departure, penalty of 100%
  • There will be no refund for no shows or voluntary interruption of an already started trip
