DAY 1: MESSINA AREA

• Arrival at Catania airport. After picking up the rental car, departure for the Messina area. No scheduled activities for this day. Free time to explore the city on your own. Dinner and overnight in Messina area.

DAY 2: LIPARI & VULCANO (excursion included)

• Breakfast at the hotel. Head to the port of Milazzo, park the car and board the ferry for the day trip to Lipari and Vulcano. After sailing along the coast of the Capo Milazzo promontory, we will disembark at Lipari, the largest island of the beautiful Aeolian archipelago, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can visit the historic center of the island and its main attractions, namely the small archaeological museum of Castello, the cemetery, the 12th-century Norman cathedral dedicated to Saint Bartholomew, the archaeological park, strolling through the characteristic streets. Return to the port of Lipari and board the ferry to Vulcano, our second stop. Do not miss the visit to the black beaches, thermal springs, sulfur muds and, for those who want to do some trekking, we suggest climbing the crater. Return to Milazzo by ferry and head to the hotel for dinner. Overnight in Messina area.

DAY 3: PANAREA & STROMBOLI

• Breakfast at the hotel. Today you are free to relax and explore the surroundings or take a swim on the beach or spend a day at Panarea and Stromboli.
  
  Suggested itinerary: Head to the port of Milazzo, park your car and board the ferry for the day trip to Panarea and Stromboli. The first stop is Panarea, the "VIP" island. Walk through the characteristic streets of the village, swim in the crystal-clear waters and enjoy a few hours on the island. In about 45 minutes on foot or by taxi you can reach the small prehistoric village of Capo Milazzese, dating back to 1400 BC. Return to the port and board the ferry to Stromboli; during the journey you can admire the characteristic islands in front of Panarea. In the afternoon departure for Stromboli; during the transfer you can admire the group of islands in front of Panarea. Before our second stop, a sea visit to the picturesque village of Ginostra. After docking at the port of Stromboli Scari, visit the island until sunset, then departure to admire Stromboli erupting at night, especially the Sciara del Fuoco, where active lava flows. Return to Milazzo between 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm, depending on sunset time. Ask the hotel to prepare a cold dinner so you can find it upon your return. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 4: MONTALBANO ELICONA & ARGIMUSCO MEGALITHS

• Breakfast at the hotel. Today you are free to relax and explore the surroundings or take a swim on the beach or spend a day at Montalbano Elicona and the Argimusco Megaliths.
  
  Suggested itinerary: Head inland to the wonderful village of Montalbano Elicona, awarded in 2015 as the most beautiful village in Italy. A maze of alleys leads to the castle, which dominates the historic center. You will be enchanted by the splendid views of lush greenery. Take a tour of the city in the most beautiful corners of the village. Stop for lunch in one of the many trattorias or farmhouses offering authentic Sicilian cuisine. In the afternoon drive to the Argimusco Megaliths. Here you can see the prehistoric megaliths (boulders) and at the same time enjoy a spectacular view of Etna, the Aeolian Islands, the curious mountains Rocca Salvatesta and Montagna di Vernà, Capo Tindari, Capo Calavà and Capo Milazzo. Return to the hotel in Messina for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: THE TOUR ENDS AFTER BREAKFAST

• Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Catania airport. Return the car at the rental desk. End of services.

• The car can be delivered at a different airport from the pickup location (upon request). Each rental day has a 24-hour fraction, the vehicle must be returned on time or within the following 59 minutes; Car pickup and delivery at the airport will be during Noleggiare company opening hours; after these hours the rental company will charge an extra fee. Please check before booking your flight!
• Norma Vacanze only acts as an intermediary between the customer and the rental company. In case of disputes with the rental company or accidents, the rules established in the contract signed at the airport between the customer and the rental company apply, without any involvement of Norma Vacanze.
• Norma Vacanze is not responsible for accidents, delays, damage or loss of luggage or personal items, nor for damages caused by third parties or others such as floods, storms, hurricanes, landslides, earthquakes, political unrest, terrorist attacks, strikes.
• Each customer can independently choose whether to follow the suggested itinerary or instead create one according to their own needs. It is however essential to follow the schedule related to the cities where overnight stays are planned.
• Cars are subject to availability and your category may not be available at all times. If category C is not available at the time of booking, a higher category will be offered with an extra charge that will be communicated before confirming each booking.
• Hotel parking is not guaranteed, it will be possible in the surrounding area.
• The rate includes the rental of a category C car for the entire duration of the stay with the "GOLD" insurance package; with an extra charge it is possible to book the Platinum insurance.
• Car pickup and delivery at the airport will be from 08:00 to 22:30 at the Noleggiare booth; after these hours the rental company will charge an extra fee.
• Each rental day has a 24-hour fraction, the vehicle must be returned on time or within the following 59 minutes; after this period an extra rental day will be charged at the official rate.
• Drivers must have a credit card for check-in.

THE RATE INCLUDES:

Gold insurance includes

• With Gold, the deductible amount will not be charged. The "Gold" package eliminates the deductibles for damages and total theft and allows the elimination of the deductible also for damages to parts of the vehicle not covered by the "Silver" package and includes coverage for glass and tires. Partial theft, attempted theft, roof damage, damage to the underside of the vehicle, interior damage, and damages caused by vandalism, riots, etc., are excluded.

Platinum Insurance (on request)

• If the customer purchases a "Platinum" package, the deductible amounts for theft (including partial theft and attempted theft) and damages (including damages to the roof, underside of the vehicle, and interiors) will be eliminated, and the PAI services (which cover the driver in case of death, permanent disability, and accidents, with a maximum coverage up to €100,000) and "Road Assistance Plus" 24h roadside assistance (covers all towing costs in case of an accident with fault and for any other event occurring during the rental) are included.

• Cancellations up to 15 days before departure with full refund.
• Cancellations from 14 to 8 days before departure, 30% penalty.
• Cancellations from 7 to 4 days before departure, 50% penalty.
• In case of cancellation within 3 days before departure, 100% penalty.
• No refund is provided for no-shows or voluntary interruption of a trip already started.
