The Hotel Tonic is located in the heart of Palermo, between the two most important city theaters, the Massimo and the Politeama. Hotel Tonic began its activity in 1979, with the opening of a floor of the noble liberty-style building designed in 1906 by Michele Utveggio. With its six rooms, it is one of the first two-star hotels in the city of Palermo. In 1992, it obtained the third star, thanks to the acquisition of an additional floor. In 2000, with the opening of the breakfast room and two more floors, it reached its current appearance with 38 rooms. Over the years, several renovation works have been carried out to improve the appearance and services of the facility. In April 2018, the new breakfast room was opened, completely renovated, and in March 2019, the Agorà Room was inaugurated.
