The private gravel and pebble beach of Lido Caparena, a hotel of the same hotel chain in Taormina Mare, was inaugurated in 1979. It takes its name from the "capo della rena," meaning the head of the sand, a corner of paradise on earth. The private beach is divided into two areas: the Regular Beach is available to hotel guests free of charge for the entire stay and for a fee to external customers. The Executive Beach must be booked in advance and entry is paid. A splendid equipped oasis for lovers of water sports with a view of the Calabrian coast and the Ionian Sea. Separated from the hotel by a small railway underpass and a staircase ramp in the garden, it offers its guests cabins, umbrellas, sunbeds, toilets, changing rooms, showers, assistance service with qualified lifeguards, infirmary, bar, restaurant, and boutique.
