Rooms
The owners have restored the old monastery farmhouse and converted it for tourist accommodation, with 14 cosy rooms furnished in Sicilian style, with en-suite bathrooms and terracotta floors. Six of these rooms have a private terrace (2 triples and 4 doubles) and two are equipped for the disabled (1 double and 1 quadruple). The structure, of particular architectural merit, consists of several bodies of buildings that in their distribution give rise to an internal courtyard to which the adjacent structures converge. The renovation was carried out with respect for traditional architecture where arches, small squares, old beams and thick walls recreate the ancient and warm atmosphere of the best Sicilian architectural tradition. The thick stone walls and the particular ventilated hillside exposure protect the structure from the normal peaks of summer heat, and the paddle fans manage to maintain a healthy and natural ideal temperature. The GIGLIOTTO farmhouse is open all year round and all rooms have modern central heating in winter.
