Bus excursion with a guide to Syracuse, one of the oldest Greek colonies in Sicily, a World Heritage Site and UNESCO site. Meet the local guide and visit the Archaeological Area dating back to the 5th century BC with the Greek Theater, the Roman Amphitheater, the Altar of Hieron II and the Latomia of Paradise with the Ear of Dionysius. This is followed by a visit to the historic center of the island of Ortigia with the Temple of Apollo, the Cathedral, an important Baroque church built on an ancient temple, the Hypogeum and the Arethusa Fountain with the famous papyrus plant. Free time for shopping or lunch (optional) in the typical restaurants of Foro Italico. Extra admissions excluded. Appropriate clothing is recommended for visiting sacred places.
