- Unique opportunity to admire the Etna volcano in the evocative atmosphere of the sunset. The active volcano, a UNESCO site since 2013, with its 3,350 meters is the highest in Europe. Departure by bus with a Guide and, after a short stop along the way to visit a typical Etnean village, arrival at the Etna station at 1,900 m altitude. Ascent to the authorized crater area at about 3,000 m with Alpine Guides from the Italian Alpine Club. Possibility to admire the sunset at a safe distance from the central crater. Stop until sunset and return to 1,900 m. Optional extra dinner in a typical refuge. Warm clothing and technical shoes are recommended. The departure time may vary depending on the sunset time. Return to Taormina is expected around 11:00 PM.
