This tour allows you to discover and reach the summit of Mount Etna! Transfer by open-top bus or luxury coach. From a naturalistic point of view, it is an exciting tour because we will pass through small and typical villages in the area such as Calatabiano, Castiglione di Sicilia, and Linguaglossa to reach Piano Provenzana. Upon arrival at the refuge, at an altitude of 1810 meters above sea level, with the help of our 4x4 off-road vehicles, we will accompany you along the ascent of the northern slope of the volcano among ancient craters and recent lava flows. Upon arrival at the Volcanological Observatory, at 2800 meters, with our guides we will reach Pizzi Deneri to admire a truly extraordinary panorama: the summit craters of Etna, the Ionian Sea, and the Bove Valley. The excursion will end with a visit to the craters of the 2002 eruption. On the way back, our journey will continue until we reach the Alcantara Gorges (entrance ticket excluded): a lava canyon crossed by icy waters. Here there will be the possibility to taste typical local products inside the botanical and geological park and to use a lift to reach the canyon with the possibility of immersing yourself in the icy waters.
