This tour allows you to discover and reach the summit of Mount Etna Volcano! Transfer by open bus or luxury coach. From a naturalistic point of view, it is an exciting tour as we will pass through small and typical towns of the area such as Calatabiano, Castiglione di Sicilia, and Linguaglossa to reach Piano Provenzana. Upon arrival at the refuge, at an altitude of 1810 meters above sea level, with the help of our 4x4 off-road vehicles, we will accompany you along the ascent of the northern slope of the volcano among ancient craters and recent lava flows. Arriving at the Volcanological Observatory, at 2800 meters, with our guides, we will reach the Pizzi Deneri location to admire a truly extraordinary panorama: the summit craters of Etna, the Ionian Sea, and the Valle del Bove. The excursion will conclude with a visit to the craters of the 2002 eruption. On the way back, our journey will continue to reach the Alcantara Gorges (entrance ticket excluded): a lava canyon crossed by icy waters. Here there will be the possibility to taste typical local products inside the botanical and geological park and use an elevator to reach the canyon with the possibility to immerse yourself in the icy waters.
