This tour allows you to reach the summit of Mount Etna! Transfer by open bus or luxury coach. From a naturalistic point of view, it is an exciting tour as we will pass through small and typical towns in the area such as Calatabiano, Castiglione di Sicilia, and Linguaglossa to reach Piano Provenzana. Once at the refuge, at an altitude of 1810 m above sea level, with the help of our 4x4 off-road vehicles, we will accompany you along the ascent of the northern slope of the volcano, passing ancient craters and recent lava flows. Once at the Vulcanological Observatory, at an altitude of 2800 m, with our guides, we will reach the Pizzi Deneri location to admire a truly extraordinary panorama: the summit craters of Mount Etna, the Ionian Sea, and the Valle del Bove. The excursion will end with a visit to the craters of the 2002 eruption. On the way back, our journey will continue to reach the Alcantara Gorges (entrance ticket not included): a lava canyon crossed by icy waters. Here, there will be the opportunity to taste local typical products inside the botanical and geological park and use an elevator to reach the canyon with the possibility of immersing yourself in the icy waters.
