Program

  • Departure for Milazzo and boarding the motor vessel for the Aeolian Islands. After sailing along the coast of the Capo Milazzo promontory, direct transfer to Lipari to see Punta Castagna; in this area of ancient pumice quarries and white beaches, you can admire the enchanting landscape and the characteristic color of the sea due to its clear waters. After docking in Lipari, the largest island of the magnificent Aeolian archipelago, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, our first stop, you will have the opportunity to visit the historic center (where it will also be possible to visit a small archaeological museum at the Castle, the cemetery, the 12th-century Norman cathedral, consecrated in honor of Saint Bartholomew), the archaeological park, and go shopping. Possibility to book a Lipari bus tour (optional, not included in the price). After departure from Lipari, direct transfer to the island of Vulcano for our second stop; the main attractions are the black beaches, thermal springs, and sulfur mud baths. This stop also allows passengers to have lunch in a local restaurant (optional). In the afternoon, departure from Vulcano to sail around the mythical area of the Aeolian Islands, the Faraglioni, the rock of Pope John, the Cave of the Angels, and the Rock of the Mummy. Special attention to the wonderful Venus Pool, the evocative Horse Cave, and the Lion Rock. Return to Taormina at around 7:30 p.m.
