1Day: Ragusa area

Arrival at Catania/Palermo airport. After picking up the rental car, drive to Ragusa Area. Check-in at the hotel (rooms will be available after 14:00). On this day there are no planned activities. Free time to discover the city on your own.

2Day: Ragusa, Modica and Scicli

Breakfast at the hotel. Possibility to relax and explore the surroundings or to visit Ragusa, Modica and Scicli.

Today you can start your stay dedicating yourself to the discovery of an unknown part of Sicily, the Val di Noto, whose cities have been included as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002, thanks to its beautiful churches and baroque style edfici; moreover, the whole area has been made famous by the well known television series “Il Commissario Montalbano”. You can start from the historical center of Ragusa, Ragusa Ibla , full of churches and baroque monuments. You can continue towards Modica, which in addition to the Baroque is known for the processing of chocolate and you can take advantage of some tasting in one of the typical stores in the center. You can conclude your visit to Scicli where you can admire along its streets of the historic center the beautiful golden stone churches and sumptuous buildings of 1800. Return to the hotel in the evening.






3Day: Syracuse and Noto

Breakfast at the hotel. Possibility to relax and explore the surroundings or to visit Syracuse and Noto.
Overnight in hotel in Ragusa area.


Today you can make an excursion to Syracuse, one of the most interesting archaeological sites of the island, and visit its historic center, the island of Ortigia, the oldest part of the city with its beautiful cathedral, and its Archaeological Park where you can admire the ancient political prison or Ear of Dionysius, the Catacombs, the Roman Amphitheater and the Greek Theatre, still home to the famous classical representations. Continuing on you can make a stop in Noto named “Capital of Baroque” and named World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2002.






4Day: The Three Cities

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the port of Pozzallo, boarding the catamaran for Malta with arrival after about 2 hours – Transfer to hotel and overnight stay in Malta. This afternoon you are free to relax and explore the city or take a swim in the magnificent crystal clear Maltese waters or visit the “Three Cities”.

Proceed to the area of Porto Grande, opposite Valletta, known as the Three Cities – Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea, where the Knights of St. John first settled in 1530. Passing Cospicua you reach Vittoriosa for a walking tour through the narrow streets in the shadow of historic buildings, including the first ordinances in the various languages of the Order. At the promenade of Vittoriosa take a typical port boat (dghajsa) for a tour of the colorful inlets of the port. From the Senglea Garden, located at the end of the peninsula, enjoy a splendid 360-degree view of the Porto Grande, including the imposing Sant Angelo Fort from where Grand Master La Valletta led the island’s defense during the Great Siege of 1565.



5Day: Mosta, Mdina and Dingli

Breakfast at the hotel. Possibility to relax and explore the surroundings or take a swim on the beach or visit Mosta, Mdina and Dingli.
Overnight stay in Malta.


Head towards Mosta, very famous for its church characterized by its huge dome, the third largest unsupported dome in the world with an internal diameter of 37.2 meters. Head towards Mdina, the medieval fortified city enclosed in ramparts, located on a large hill in the center of Malta. The city was the ancient capital of Malta and with its narrow streets, few inhabitants and beautiful views of the island is truly a magical city. Mdina is called the “Silent City” by Maltese and visitors – no cars, except those of the very few residents, are allowed to enter Mdina. Drive to Dingli, a small, rather isolated village, famous for the cliffs that fall directly into the sea and offer a view of the open sea on the small island of Filfla.



6Day: Marsaxlokk and Blue Grotto

Breakfast at the hotel. Possibility to relax and explore the surroundings or take a swim on the beach or visit Marsaxlokk and the Blue Grotto.
Overnight stay in Malta.


Head towards Marsaxlokk, also known as Marsa Scirocco. Walking through the harbor of this charming village you will see the iconic luzzi, the traditional fishing boats, easily recognizable by their bright colors. After visiting the port area, you can explore the famous Rabat market on your own. Around the stalls of crafts, clothing and accessories, tourists and Maltese from all parts of the archipelago gather. In the afternoon head to the town of Wied iz-Zurrieq, and take a boat to admire one of the most beautiful natural wonders of Malta, Blue Grotto, known as the Blue Grotto, which appeared in famous movies, such as “Troy” with Brad Pitt. Admire the entire expanse of the blue Mediterranean and the islet of Filfla. On your return you can explore one of Malta’s many villages.

7Day: Ferry to Pozzallo – Etna and Taormina

Transfer to the port in the early morning and departure by catamarano to Pozzallo. Arrival after about 2 hours and continue to the hotel in Taormina area. Possibility to relax and explore the surroundings or have a swim on the beach or visit Etna and Taormina.

Drive to “Rifugio Sapienza” on Etna, the highest peak of Sicily and the most active volcano in Europe. The territory surrounding the volcano is the “Etna Park”, one of the largest protected areas in Italy: you will be amazed by the great variety of vegetation and landscapes that you will meet along the way before arriving at “Rifugio Sapienza”. From here on you will have the opportunity to stay at an altitude of 1,900 meters and take a tour of the Crateri Silvestri or continue the excursion by jeep and cable car (extra cost) to get to the summit craters.After the visit, head towards Taormina. On the way back we suggest you to stop to taste the many typical local specialties (honey, cheese, wines). Park your car in one of the many parking lots in Taormina and start your visit. Walking through the streets of the town, you will pass beautiful ancient buildings, including the 15th century Palazzo Corvaja and an ancient Greek Roman theater, the 2nd largest classical theater in Sicily. Stroll through the medieval area of the town with its characteristic alleys.



8Day: Tour overs after breakfast

Today your trip comes to an end after breakfast. Check out at 10:00. Drive to Catania or Palermo airport and release the car at the rental counter.


Rooms must be left before 10:00 am.
On request and at extra charge, it is possible to keep the room until late afternoon.

    Norma Vacanze deals only with the intermediation between the customer and the car rental company. In case of disputes with the rental company or accidents , the rules set out in the contract signed between the customer and the rental company apply, without any involvement of Norma Vacanze.

    Each customer can choose independently whether to follow the suggested itinerary or to create one according to their own needs. However, it is essential that the cities in which to stay overnight are respected, as indicated on the program.

    • Insurance Silver Package ( included in the rates):
      The amount of the allowances provided is reduced by 70% for damages or total theft. The “Silver” package reduces the deductibles but does not cover partial theft, attempted theft and damage to the roof, the lower part of the vehicle, wheels, windows, interior, and vandalism.
    • Insurance Gold Package (with supplement of € 10 per day for a category A car): If the customer purchases a “Gold” package, the amount of the deductible will not be charged. The “Gold” package clears the deductibles provided for damages and total theft and allows you to eliminate the deductible also for damages occurred to the parts of the vehicle not covered by the “Silver” package and the coverage of windows and tires is provided. Partial theft, attempted theft, damage to the roof, damage to the lower part of the vehicle, damage to the interior and damage caused by vandalism, riots, etc. are excluded.
    • Insurance Platinum package (with supplement of € 15 per day for a category A car):
      If the customer purchases a “Platinum” package, the amount of the theft deductibles (also for partial theft and attempted theft) and damages (also for damage to the roof, the lower part of the vehicle and the interiors) will be zeroed and the PAI services (which guarantees the driver in the event of death, permanent disability and accidents, with a ceiling of up to € 100,000) and “Road Assistance Plus 24h road assistance (covers all towing costs in the event of an accident with fault and for any other event that occurred during the rental period).

    The security deposit must be paid directly by customers by credit card. Below is the detail of the security deposits provided for in the ZERO EXCESS SILVER rate € 200.00.
